At the colonial village Paucartombo we stop for breakfast. After we have reached an altitude of 3'900 m.a.s.l. we dive into the reserve of the Manu National Park. Here we start to explore the incredible variety of flora and fauna of the cloud forest. We will discover orchids, primitive ferns and medicinal plants. We will look out for our national bird, the Cock of the Rock, the Woolly Monkey and the Capuchino Monkey. In addition we observe different kinds of parrots and macaws. In the afternoon we reach the boat harbour of Atalaya. Here we end our trip by car.
Our adventure at the river Madre de Dios begins: We change into a typical motorboat, which brings us in 2.5 hours following the course of the river into our own wonderful Ecolodge "Manu Wildlife Lodge". During the river trip we again have time to observe the rich fauna and flora. In the lodge we spend the first night of our extraordinary jungle experience.

This day after breakfast we continue with the best jungle expedition diving deeper in to the rainforest of Manu National Park. We take a smaller boat called „Pekepeke“ due to the sound of the motor. For two hours river adventure we follow the Palotoa River until we reach our unique Treehouse built by the hands of Fidel and his mother Teresa and his brothers. Its a house that is well hidden in a very secret place in the middle of the Amazon rainforest of Manu National Park. - only Fidel and his family knows where is this place.
Throughout the trip of our boat adventure we will enjoy appreciating a great variety of wildlife such as Caymans, Capybaras, Red Howler Monkeys, Macaws, Tucans, Herons, and Puma, etc.
The Treehouse lodge local family Ecological Reserve has a large extension of hectares of Amazon rainforest with full biodiversity, it is a very special tropical forest of Manu National Park with altitude 300 m. above sea level, which offers the visitor the opportunity to see a good selection of birds, animals, plants, giant trees as well as endemic species.
